Exellent Book

It is hard to believe that with over one thousand years of occupation and colonization by the Han, Viet Nam is still an independent country. It's language, culture, religion, location are a few reasons that helped the Vietnamese in the past stood up and successfully against the occupiers. This book contains useful details to explain why many small states in southern China were Hanized and became a part of China except Viet Nam. I recommend every Vietnamese should read this book.

Nhờ đ�u d�n tộc Việt vẫn c�n sau ng�n năm Bắc thuộc?
Sau hơn một ng�n năm Bắc thuộc, d�n tộc Việt kh�ng biến th�nh người Trung Quốc. Trong c�ng thời gian đ�, c�c đế quốc H�n, Đường b�nh trướng, mở rộng gấp bốn lần. Qu� tr�nh đồng h�a m� Mạnh Tử gọi l� "Dụng Hạ Biến Di" đ� th�nh c�ng; những sắc d�n sống ở Hoa Nam nay đều tự nhận họ l� gười Trung Hoa cả; mặc d� về chủng tộc, ng�n ngữ, họ vốn kh�c người phương Bắc m� c� nhiều n�t tương đồng hơn với c�c sắc tộc miền Đ�ng Nam �. Ri�ng d�n tộc Việt Nam vẫn đứng ri�ng, dựng l�n một quốc gia độc lập.
Hiện tượng văn h�a quan trọng nhất trong ng�n năm Bắc thuộc kh�ng phải l� việc người Việt Nam học hỏi nền văn minh Trung Hoa. Nhiều d�n tộc ở � Đ�ng cũng đều d�ng chữ H�n, đều tổ chức đời sống đạo l� v� ch�nh trị theo khu�n mẫu Khổng Gi�o, mặc d� họ kh�ng hề bị người H�n đ� hộ. Điều đ�ng kể nhất trong thời Bắc thuộc l� hiện tượng c�c di d�n người Hoa sau nhiều thế hệ đ� dần dần biến th�nh người Việt, nhiều người đ� g�p phần x�y dựng văn h�a, tranh đấu v� bảo vệ nền tự chủ của d�n tộc Việt Nam.
