This is a good edition. However

This is a good edition. However, in the case of the Inventions and Sinfonias, I recommend the Henle. I actually prefer the fingerings in this edition, but the Henle does not require any page turns. That's important for playing these short pieces. Alfred spaces everything out so much that it's very clear, but almost every piece requires a page turn.

If I could start over, I would buy this edition for the editorial notes, fingering suggestions, etc., and the Henle version without any fingerings, so that I could write in whatever I wanted myself.

About the Author

Dr. Alan B. Johnston has over thirteen years of experience in SIP, VoIP (Voice over IP), and Internet Communications, having been a co-author of the SIP specification and a dozen other IETF RFCs, including the ZRTP media security protocol. He is the author of four best selling technical books on Internet Communications, SIP, and security, and a techno thriller novel "Counting from Zero" that teaches the basics of Internet and computer security. He is on the board of directors of the SIP Forum. He holds Bachelors and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering. Alan is an active participant in the IETF RTCWEB working group. He is currently a Distinguished Engineer at Avaya, Inc. and an Adjunct Instructor at Washington University in St Louis. He owns and rides a number of motorcycles, and enjoys mentoring a robotics team.

Dr. Daniel C. Burnett has more than a dozen years of experience in computer standards work, having been author and editor of the W3C standards underlying the majority of today's automated Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems. He has twice received the prestigious “Speech Luminary” award from Speech Tech Magazine for his contributions to standards in the Automated Speech Recognition (Voice Recognition) field. As an editor of the PeerConnection and getUserMedia W3C WEBRTC specifications and a participant in the IETF, Dan has been involved from the beginning in this exciting new field. He is currently the Chief Scientist at Tropo and Director of Standards at Voxeo, an Aspect Company. When he can get away, Dan loves camping both with his family and with his son’s Boy Scout Troop.

I was quickly humbled by just how much WebRTC technology has progressed and carry the Kindle book along on 3 devices.

Video chat with text and various application data from browser to browser is emerging as a new feature for mobile and fixed devices, actually on most anything equipped with a browser, even though at present not all but some leading browsers are supporting such interoperability. Innovators discover how their apps and back-ends can be improved and updated using WebRTC for such as privacy and security, features, and performance.
Though I am quite familiar with both the topic and the 1st edition of this book, I was quickly humbled by just how much WebRTC technology has progressed. The 2014, 3rd edition of the book has not only kept up but has also been completely restructured to make the underlying wealth of technical knowledge digestible as befits both university educators and known industry experts - the authors of this book. The usefulness for a broad audience of web and communication developers, IT managers and various business decision makers has been well preserved and actually improved. Following the text and the extremely clear diagrams makes reading the respective chapters attractive, all the way to understand the pseudo code and full code examples. A sample browser based video conferencing application developed by the authors is also included.
The book is an excellent tutorial on WebRTC as it is being developed by the W3C and IETF standards organizations; still one would have wished as well to be enlightened with some examples or comments on specifically how this technology impacts the perennial enterprise and institutional IT markets and the public telephony providers. How will WebRTC impact over the top (OTT) Internet platforms and social networks that already provide rich, state of the art video chats, multiparty conferencing, collaboration and may include streaming media along various data apps. However, given the complexities of closed, real life commercial platforms, it is understandable why this book just sticks to the basics and makes readers better understand the news from the technology industry.

I got really carried away by reading this new edition and keep the Kindle e-book on three devices to have it anywhere along.

This is the best technical WebRTC book available. It is absolutely mandatory for any web or telecom developer looking to understand how to develop and deploy WebRTC. In this Third Edition, Dan and Alan continue to expand the overall content and keep up with the emerging standards. WebRTC is an exciting technology that will change communication int he same way the original web changed information and will create huge opportunities, both in technology, start-ups and business (think Google, Amazon, Facebook, etc.). For any developer or company with a web presence, WebRTC is a big part of your future and this book is the clear way to understand how to develop. The book includes clear code examples and easy to implement initial code. With this book, your website will be managing real time HD voice, HD video,and data interactions between your users or subscribers in a matter of days, or even hours. Highly Recommended!!

Mandatory reading for those working with WebRTC

This is the third edition of the book by Alan and Dan.
While the first one was excellent, this fills in all the missing "holes" that existed in the first edition: it gives more information about the use of the data channel, it covers more ground in explaining the SDP and it provides some "debugging" by showing Wireshark captures and explaining them.
For people who need to get up to speed with WebRTC - understand the standard, how it operates in the network itself, how to use its APIs and how to debug it - this is an invaluable resource.

I ordered it on the last week of January and finally decided to begin reading it. It's my first time in the dance ministries and this book is exactly what I needed for motivation and guidance. I love it, it has been so helpful. I told my technic instructor about this book and she wanted to lay hands on it but unfortunately it's not offered in English.

Easy to understand and loads of information.

I'm not a newbie in this area. I used to take up this subject when I was in High School. I was fairly good at it, creating simple websites that had buttons that actual work, click and send you to another site. It was a fun experience but it's just not my forte at that time. Fast forward to College (now) where I am looking for different ways on how to earn extra cash for things that I like to spend on. I remember my Computer teacher telling me one time that if I master HTML coding I can actually earn hard cash on it. That was an option I was willing to explore so here I am. The thing is it's been 2 years since then and I've forgotten the basic name and codes. It's a good thing that this book has it all. It's simple to read the words are not that deep and explains thoroughly. I also learned new things about HTML like Phrase Tags, Meta Tags and such. There's also a page for Browser Safe Colors which I know will come in handy in the web designing field.

A really helpful book. I recommend this to beginners because as I said it's thoroughly explained and you won't be left hanging in the air with this. It's organized and discussed in a spaced and well-ordered manner.

I am really wondering how websites are made. I don't have time to explore before but I am happy that I will have a time to explore that this weekend since I filed a vacation leave up to next week. My curiosity lead me in downloading this book because I feel that this one best fits beginners like me who wants to learn. My gut feel is correct, this book contains information which are really suited for newbies. The basics of making a website using HTML has been discussed clearly as well as the other factors that surrounds it. Sample codes were also given so that readers can practice it on their own. Various tips and techniques were generously provided in here. I've learned from this book.

Well-written information for beginners like me

I never thought I would be interested in reading books related to information technology. But this book caught my attention as I usually bump into the word HTML which I don't really know about. This book is a great guide not only for web developers but also for someone like me who wants to understand HTML. It provides basic knowledge and practical examples which I can apply in making my own website. With thorough practice, high levels of expertise can be reached and I could be able to make my own website. This book is surely for keeps as a great reference.

I love the unexpected twists that the story takes

I just finished my second reading of 'Goodbye Belvidere: His Eye is on the Sparrow'. As with the first book in the series, ‘Goodbye Belvidere: A Hundred and Sixty Acres', the second time through was as enjoyable as the first! I love the unexpected twists that the story takes, especially toward the end.
It is fascinating and inspiring that even the main characters in her stories are not ‘white-washed’, but display human imperfections as they face daily struggles and seek to please the Lord and follow His will for their lives.
Thank you, Joyce, for all of your hard work - and I'm looking forward to the third book in this series.

Misogynistic, with a plot that keeps changing focus

In this book, no does not mean no, women cannot resist a man who presses the right buttons, so to speak, men cannot resist their sexual urges, and the idea of marital fidelity is a joke. Wagers are made on if the male character can last a year without sex. He makes it three months. Then he weds the woman he beds (in a rather contrived bit of plotting) and promises her, with reluctance and a bit of foreboding, six months of faithfulness. The messages here are disturbing and would be downright scary if not for the completely laughable dialogue to go along with it. (Paraphrased: "What are you doing?" "I am going to kiss you." "Why?" "I don't know. I can't help myself.")

The plot is loose and has many holes, and every few chapters a new central conflict has to emerge with barely a thread tying them together. At some points, it reads as though the author didn't read her own paragraph preceding the one she's written. A man asks to see a woman he knows is not where she's supposed to be, and then the next paragraph, he's hoping nobody notices she's missing - the people who should not notice this, of course, being the very ones he just asked to take him to her.

There are what appear to be references to linked books, but not in a way that makes you at all intrigued to read them. If they're not references, then they're very poorly and loosely developed side characters with incredibly bizarre back stories that are only hinted at.

SO much is going on. I love it!

Viscount Lucas "Luc" Westmore was the last man known to see Lady Sybil alive. Sybil had tried to entrap Luc into marriage and failed. She desperately admitted to being pregnant by a married man and need to wed quickly. Lucas promised to help her find a husband within the next two weeks. However, only two days later Sybil was found dead in the Thames, seemingly by suicide. Filled with remorse, Lucas made a vow of celibacy to last for one year. He left London for Cornwall, the small village of St. Ives, and found himself in the middle of smugglers.
Bliss Hartley was the daughter of a squire. Her father was ill and Bliss, along with everyone else in the village, turned to smuggling for money. She only wanted to make enough to take her father to a specialist in London. But there was a traitor within the smugglers ranks.
I must skip much here. The author has placed many surprises in this little village for her readers. To tell any more would give SO MUCH away. Therefore, let us fast forward.
Bliss and Luc marry and return to London. It became obvious that the talk of Lady Sybil's death had not yet ceased. Bliss was faced with trusting her husband, though he still kept a few secrets from her and had bluntly informed her not to expect him to remain faithful to her. Lucas did not believe he was in love with Bliss and kept trying to put distance between them.
***** I did NOT want to see this series end. Each Rogue's story has touched my heart, but this one even more so than the others. Bliss and Lucas are so well matched. I would say that I will miss them, but I know I will be rereading this story again very soon. All three in this series have been placed on my "Keeper" shelf. The author, Connie Mason, has proven that she is a gifted story teller, especially in the Regency era.
Word has it that the author's next release will be in November 2004, titled "THE PIRATE PRINCE". Though it will not be set in London, (Perhaps the author can be persuaded to return to London again in the near future.) I look forward to the next adventure. Highly recommended reading once again! *****

one star is to good for this one

The main focus of this book is male arousal and quite frankly it is overdone and not believable. The plot is shallow, the characters undeveloped and I can't find anything to recommend the investment of your time to read this one. I picked this one up on Amazon for free and it still was't worth the price.

Sarah's joy in a promising new life is threatened when her father loses his first good job. The family's financial crisis is somewhat alleviated by having a great-aunt come to live with them--with the result that Sarah must give up her dream bedroom and stay with crotchety Aunt Margaret while both parents are at work. Difficulties increase as strange events begin to occur and Sarah's mother refuses to consider Sarah's suggestion that there is a ghost, implying that Sarah is lying, and forcing her and Aunt Margaret to cope alone with the escalating violence of a malevolent spirit that turns out to be from Aunt Margaret's youth. Afraid that she too will be doubted, Aunt Margaret keeps her own counsel, resolving to return to her nursing home. In a final hair-raising encounter, Sarah helps rout the ghost, which also leads to everyone's realization that they truly are a family. Many of the motifs here will be comfortingly familiar to Wright's fans: a successful meld of family living and the satisfyingly scary supernatural. Huh?

Maybe this book was little too young for me. I just expected more from the author of THE DOLLHOUSE MURDERS, I was sorely disappointed when the plot became immature and pointless. The book starts out exciting enough, when Sarah is forced to move out of her room for her cranky old Aunt. As always, the relationships and character developement are the highlight of Ms. Ren Wright's story, but that alone will not be enough to entertain a reader who wants a ghost story. The plot becomes absurd and unbeliveable evn for a ghost story. In this book, I wasn't very interested in the characters and Ms. Ren Wright seems to hope that the entire book with stand on that alone, but in the the end it cannot. The ending left me saying "Huh?" because it was simply pointless. It just seemed like there should be more to it. The already ridiculous plot was resolved far too easily and the ending resolution will leave readers feeling cheated, and disappointed.

For people who likes scary story

Sarah moved to a new home which used to be her Great Aunt Magaret's house. Few weeks later her aunt moved in from the Nursery. After that, strange things began to happened when Sarah and her aunt are along in the house. Like the light turns on by themselves and the rooms get deathy cold and Sarah hears strange footsteps in the upstairs hall. And everytime Sarah looked at a painting she found( which was her aunt's) she sees that the painting has changed. I think you should read this book because it is scary. So grab " A Ghost In The House" By Betty Ren Wright and start reading! Also enjoy other books by betty Ren Wright. See Ya!

Excellent Piano techinque book

Excellent book with a wide variety of composers and techniques for the intermediate pianist. I especially like the fact that many of the pieces have multiple sharps and flats and are NOT written in C major.
