This is an atlas and text about plastic and metal hardware with orthopaedic implants designed for bone growth. Molecular and biomaterial approaches to osteosyntheses is excellent. For example, integrin and other adhesion mechanisms are described. Total hip, knee, and shoulder bone repairs are looked at in detail. The type of implants is evaluated with bone DEXA.s. Failure of fusions , loosening, and implant infections are two other areas looked into. Radiographic descriptions and histological studies are included.

Metal cement, whole metal prosthesis, and their longevity span of up to ten or twenty years is evaluated. European, various Greek, and North American Orthopedic Centers and their surgical results have been posted here. I highly recommend this text to orthopedic docs and researchers.
