Evaluation of Vertebrate Taphonomy

Overall, I have found this text to be rather useful, thus far, as an informative guide to the study of taphonomic processes. It also provides fairly detailed information regarding the methodological steps involved in faunal analysis at archaeological sites. The skeletal diagrams of different classes of animals (i.e. birds vs. mammals) have also been helpful with regard to cross-class structural comparison of related skeletal elements.

Finally caved and purchased the book

Definitely a must for any zooarchaeologist. I have been referencing this book for years but always had to borrow it because I couldn't afford purchasing it. Finally caved in. A bit upset that the book arrived in less than mint condition due to either poor packaging or travel damage - or it might even be gently used. I need the book right now though, so I'll be keeping it. By the end of my career it will probably look 100 years old anyway.
